Premium Firewood Logs
Only the best 100% ASH, OAK and BIRCH logs have been responsibly sourced from sustainably managed forests, selected and kiln dried to a moisture of less than 20%. This means the logs light quickly and require only a small amount of kindling. Burning kiln-dried logs does not lead to an accumulation of tars and creosote inside your flue as using wet logs would. You get better draught in the chimney and save time and money on flue cleaning. They are great value for money too – you are no longer paying for damp, badly burning logs. ASH, OAK and BIRCH logs give a long burn with beautiful flame and minimal ash. We guarantee that your crate or sacks will contain only ASH, OAK, or BIRCH logs, in contrast to many mixed log crates available elsewhere which contain alder, aspen and other hardwoods. These firewood logs are 100% mould free. It releases a wonderful scent of forest and looks great, not to mention its superior heating properties. 1.2m3 (ASH and OAK) half crates
Each log is 25 cm long, fitting most fireplaces, stoves and other wood burning appliances. We have now introduced new crate sizes that contain the same amount of logs as before but are wider and lower offering better stability during delivery. Inside dimensions of these crates are 75 x 115 x 110cm and outside dimensions are 80 x 120 x 125cm. The inside volume of the crate is 0.95 stacked cubic m and the outside volume is 1.2 cubic m. The crate is wrapped in a mesh net and covered with film to prevent water damage. Thanks to that the logs are convenient to store and save a lot of space. Crates can be re-used for storage, easily broken apart and recycled, or even burnt for kindling.
1.1m3 (BIRCH) half crates
Birch logs dried to less than 20% and tightly packed in a crate. Inside dimensions of the crate are 115 x 80 x 100 cm and outside dimensions are 120 x 80 x 120cm. Log length is 25cm, fitting most wood stoves. Birch logs are recommended for modern woodburning stoves because they light quickly and the speed of burning can be adjusted as required. These logs are certified 100% FSC by the Forest Stewardship Council – the leading worldwide organisation for responsible forestry.
2.2m3 (ASH and OAK) large crates
These kiln-dried ash/oak logs are very uniform and clean. Each log is 25 cm long, fitting most fireplaces, stoves and other wood burning appliances. Tightly packed in a crate on a pallet. The outside volume of the crate is 2.22 cubic metres and the volume of logs inside is 1.91 stacked cubic metres. We have now introduced new crate sizes that contain the same volume as before but are wider and lower offering better stability. Inside dimensions of these crates are 99 x 115 x 168cm and outside dimensions are 103 x 120 x 180cm. Please note that these crates are very large and require a perfectly flat, hard surface flush with the street level for delivery.
35 Litre net sacks (ASH and OAK)
These ash/oak logs are packed in extra large 35 Litre net sacks and placed on the pallets. These nets are twice the size of a typical net sold in garages and supermarkets (typical net size being 20 – 22 litres vs. 35 litres for our logs). Each net weighs approx. 13 kg. One 13 kg net sack is 0.035 stacked cubic m. One pallet contain 30 nets * 0.035 = 1.05 stacked cubic m. These logs are 25cm long and will fit most fireplaces and wood stoves.
40 Litre net sacks (BIRCH)
These birch logs are packed in extra large 40 Litre net sacks and placed on the pallets. These nets are twice the size of a typical net sold in garages and supermarkets (typical net size being 20 – 22 litres vs. 40 litres for our logs). Each net weighs approx. 15 kg. These logs are 25cm long and will fit most fireplaces and wood stoves. Please note the photo shows a pallet of 40 nets as an illustration. Your pallet will be sized according to the number of bags.
